sadly i announce to the community, after a long illenss, the passing of our dear friend John Livingston, long time friend and competitor, instramental in keeping Silo alive in NH. he will be missed.

New England has lost one of its most active and positive proponents of silhouette shooting. John Livingston, of Brookline, NH passed away Monday after a short battle with cancer and pneumonia. He was Mr. Silhouette in the eyes of those who shot with him and watched the many times he introduced new shooters to our sport.

I shot with John and knew him since 1985 or so. He belonged to Purgatory Falls Fish and Game of Mont Vernon, NH and shot all around the states of NH, Maine and went to many nationals and other silhouette events in NY and Pennsylvania. He will be missed. The world will not be as nice without him.

John was into all types of shooting from black powder to bench rest but silhouette was one of his favorites. He was a tinkerer and excellent mechanic with a large knowledge of mechanical, electrical and similar avocations. He could fix anything and loved to go to the dump and salvage what other threw away that he looked on as still worthwhile.

He leaves behind a wife, two daughters and several grandchildren who he was teaching to become shooters as well.
