Has anyone removed the butt plate from a CZ 452 silhouette with the synthetic stock.

I looked at removing the old one and putting in a spacer, but slipped a slide recoil pad over it for a bit longer length of pull. I'm happy with it.

I used the slip on pad also as well as one of those slip on Bearcreek adjustable neopreem/foam comb raising kits. The comb raising really helped a lot with the skinny somewhat straight comb on the sythetic factory stock. You can put a nice rise in it with the kit and its not cold to your face in the winter. Plus if you skip shaving for a couple of days your stubble will really anchor your cheek weld to the neopreem skin over the pad =))

Dee, where did you get the adjustable cheek piece.
Thanks, ppkny

I think I picked it up at Cabelas one day after a match. They sell for around $20 at most places online as well.

On the advice of CZ-USA I used a heat gun to remove the butt plate on my CZ-452 Silhouette and it came off in seconds.

We're in trouble now... x_x I told you the band saw would have fixed it also. Can the pad mounting studs be reused or are they part of the stock?
