George, You have to now Hawk and his wife...you are on the correct track.

A-36 steel is just fine for any of the 22 targets. The 1/4 inch chickens bend after many hits. 1/2 inch chickens will last a lifetime. I would go with T-1 for the HP.

i have a set made out of angle iron, half the fun is making your own stuff. i will try and post some pix tomorrow. i have more angle iron welded on the uprights sothey can me c clamped to a rail, the tubes are 1" steel pipe that are cut at an angle on the bottom so the go into the ground easy. i am going to shoot a few hundred at them tonight and will not repaint so you can see how they hold up...... i imagine the turkey will look almost new. they are 2.5 years old now and the chicken has been shot many hundreds of times.

ps missed you guys, work has slowed and ammo is now availible so i hope to be back in full swing. i do have to run a marathon in 5 weeks so am still pretty busy training
