Stock Question

So I ran into a Weatherby stock, a black and white spider webbing with the aluminum bedding block (maybe made by HS??) anyways, I really like the feel of it and would like to use it as a hunter class stock, but I have a question:

Could it be modified to accomodate my 54 1607? If so would a SA version be just as good as a LA version?

I know I would have to get a tapered barrel, but just wondering about the action.

I believe I saw a lefty 54 with a blue HS stock but cant remember how they managed to get the action in there.

If anyone knows how this works please let me know!
thanks!

Seems unlikely since the bedding blocks are machined to fit a particular action.

I was actually hoping this would work...

even if some material was milled of the stock?

I did find the thread where I saw that anschutz with the hs. it is on page 5 or 6 and is the rifle and specs thread.

This it?

Looks like they make them for "Target Anschutz", which may mean the 54.18.

oh, it does look like it, but I thought that was an Anschutz style stock, because it says it has a 40x heavy barrel channel and 700 adl..

I'll keep looking for one though, or I'll shoot HS an email to see if they sell uninletted stocks..

Definitely email H&S to see if the description "Fits Right Hand, Short Action, A, Target Silhouette Anschutz style" means the stock style or that it fits Anschutz actions.

its alright, I'll keep on looking for stock options. I emailed a few smiths to see if it were possible but none have emailed back.
