Pat Steiger let me have one of his early left-handed Pharr stocks for Evelio to do his thing. It had to be repainted because of the new 1712 safety configuration. Back from the paint shop, Hydro-Dip in Idaho, and I think it looks pretty good.

Yep, Evelio put his mark on it.

Evelio and Hydro-Dip had to fill in the shelf for the old wing safety. Not a bad job at all. I think they did a great job of recycling. And thanks again to Pat Steiger.

Very nice.. that is one shiny rig! 8)

Those dip jobs look impressive. I almost think I would rather a dipped Exhibit grade wood grain compared to the real deal. Hard to tell the difference just looking but still composite stable. Really nice rifle I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time to come. I am going to enjoy mine right now and get warmed up for the match in the morning :D

Actually, Hydro-Dip didn't dip it, it was airbrushed. They do really good hydro-dipping with a large selection of patterns, but I wanted flames and airbrushing was the best option.

I was going to say... I've never seen a hydro-dip that looked like that. That is a super nice paint job!

I bet you can't stop fondling it. :D

Evelio had a tight bore Lilja stainless in RF53 contour come in the same week that Champions Choice got their new 1712 barreled actions back in stock. Timing is everything, and I lucked out. Normally 10 weeks order time for Lilja barrels.
