How did the dy-No-Mite shoot go the other day?

It was a BLAST again as usual, Jerry. I finally got another silhouette shooter ( Dave B.) to try it out. We drove over in my wifes car . We hit bad weather and road conditions on I-70 on the way over. We are still getting snow storms here at the higher elevations, even now. We lost an hour due to slow going and got there 30 minutes after it started. The weather was sunny but a little windy there. My very first shot of the day with a 7-08 lit up a 225 yd. target.....good start!

Dave brought his Tikka 6.5x55 and his Anschutz 54 heavy gun .22 to try out. The closest target was at 130 yds. Dave set the 54's Leupold on rams and held at the top of the can. BIG KABOOM!! The little .22 slug found the charge. When one goes off this close everybody feels the concussion . On his second try at the next closest one at about 160 yds, fighting the wind, he poked a little hole in the low right side of the can.....no kaboom...not enough energy to set it off. Hell of a good shot , though.

In all we only hit 13 charges each, but way more than the next closest guy at four. It took me 70 shots to hit the 13, so I did not make any money this time. It was windy and a pop can at 200 to 275 yds. aint easy to hit. I bet we would have hit every chicken at those distances as we were only missing by fractions of an inch. The turn out was excellent, maybe 300 plus shooters.

The next shoot is the first Sat. in October and Dave says he will be there again....he is hooked. We will work on getting some of the other local silhouette shooters to try the Dynamite Shoot. It is a lot of "bang for the buck".
