There is a guy in Texas that makes them we got a set for Air rifle for the club, but I will have to look and see if I can find the web site and guy again.

Mike Stimson and Carol Scioneaux are the only ones that make banks of resetable air gun silhouettes that I know of. We just got 2 sets of Carol's Small Bore resetables to use at our monthly match. We also have airgun set at the airgun club.

Stimsons are nice and crisply cut airgun tragets but they used to be a bit to thin IMO and prone to damage and popping back up after being hit or having other targets fall down when shot, he may have thicker metal plate now I am not sure. Carol is cheaper I believe but he cuts the animals by hand so they are not as consistently crisp shaped but I think I could shoot the airgun resetable with my .22 LR and not damage them. I have a set of each airgun and smallbore swingers from Carol and they are made for the long haul.

The one thing I do not like about resetable is the lack of feet and a base, I count on those on the rare occasion when I actually miss a shot to catch my fliers and still knock the animal down. No dice on the resetables Tureau was saying scores usually go down a bit on average when using resets versus loose targets for this very reason.

Just pulling the string to reset sure is nice, though it lacks the appeal of flying animals.

Bob I tried to search for a website for Stimson but couldn't find one. I did find this contact info which might be good to use to get intouch with him. Carol doesn't have a website and I don't have his phone number would have to try and get it from Tureau this weekend. I want to say he charges $400 for one 5 shot bank of each animal for airguns and $600 for the SB resetables per 5 animal bank. I may be wrong but I think that is the pricing. His swingers are $50 for a airgun set and $70 for a SB set.

In typing that I realized I now have about $400 of silhouette targets in my yard between 2 sets of swingers and a full 40 set of SB animals I do love being able to walk outside and shoot anytime I want, tough I know but someone has to do it

I like the Haltom ones= they have the ductile iron animals welded to arms, that means feet and all!

That being said, I have to balance running this event at the same time as smallbore benchrest, on the same range. If I can get resettables we can shoot without going down range and keep things moving. Then we can paint when they change targets and everyone wins.

I didn't think cast irons took welds to easily that actually held up long. I know it can be welded but unless certain techniques are used when welded the strength is just not there. At least thats what I recall from the welding class I took years ago in school.

The match we shoot in MS has another open range on the side as well and when people are shooting there during the match we have to make sure both lines are called cold before going down range to setup the loose targets. Usually not a problem but it is something you have to take into account.

The resetables will serve you well in your case. We usually only repaint between relays as well though the chickens can get shot up quickly not leaving much white paint on them.

I think a club would have a hell of a time trying to wear out or break ANY of the Carol Scioneaux targets providing they are not shooting at them with highpower silhouette rifles. They are a very simple design that just plain works. Like Dee says, the animals are not water or laser cut steel, but through a scope at the correct distances they look just like the real thing... except for the foot/feet of course. But who aims at the foot of any animal? Really Dee ;)

Don't tell that to PPKNY... he has gotten more by hitting under the feet and bouncing them with splatter, or skip shots then direct hits in many matches.... there are two of us that spot for him and we now count these shots for a running total at the end of a match
