Hello All,

I have received a number of requests for a calendar/list of ranges page on the website. Many folks who haven't been bitten by the silhouette bug are wondering where they can go to give it a try. I am asking for a little help with this one.

If you would like to help out steelchickens or promote your range, send me a short email with the name of the range, physical address, website url (if applicable), and maybe a contact name/number/email address. If you would like to go the extra mile feel free to include a schedule of smallbore silhouette matches.

Thanks.

A great idea and a nice service. I hope everybody responds. There are probably matches within reach of me that I've never heard of. If you know of a small match somewhere, please respond. You might help make it bigger.
We have a new range we're very proud of at the Benton, Arkansas gun club. We shoot year round, have a great core group of friendly competitors and love to see new people. I've already e-mailed the webmaster but just couldn't resist an opportunity to put in a plug for my personal Favorite Range.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm emailing info in for Old Fort Gun Club in Fort Smith. For those who want to add a little something to the location, if you will go to terraserver.com you can enter the physical address of your range and it will bring up an ariel map of your location. And down on the left side it lists ghe GPS coordinates for that location. For you tech types it might be useful.

Hey ajj, do you have any idea how the young man that was shooting with you last summer from Stuttgart is coming with his plans for a silhoette range down that way? Been meaning to ask someone, this thread jogged my memory. I think Kessey has contact information from Happy Hollow Gun Club in Sapulpa OK, they discontinued their silhouette program the middle of summer. He might be able to pick up some stuff for a reasonable price. Also, on a related (kind of) note, improvements to OFGC are set to begin as soon as weather permits. 1st priority is to add a top rack to the target stands so we can shoot twice as many shooters (already welded up, ready to be installed) and next is extending our covered firing line and pad to streatch things out a bit.
