Got a chance to pick up one of these. Is it good for Pistol Caliber Lever silhouette? Used to have a .25-20 I loved....stupid me I sold that.

Can I take the Williams rear sight off my 39a and put it on this? What globe front would I replace the balde with?

Anyone have load advice?

I presently have two of these guns in 32-20 and on in 219 bee. I wish I could shoot the bee in competition but it is not legeal. I am going to have my nephew shoot one of the 32-20 since it is a light gun, since he's only 10 years old. Afriend of mine shoots a 25-20 he does real well with. And another friend of mine shoots a 32-20 in the same model and does good with it also. Are you wanting to shoot lead or copper plated bullets?

my wife and i both have them and they work great with lead or jacked bullets.i have lyman 17a front globe on both.the height is .584 midway part number191-002.great little gun.hope this helps.look on the williams gun site to see if a 39a site will work,i am not sure.williams does make one for them that uses the 2 rear scope base holes thats whats on my wifes.

I use one for sillhouette, works great with 115 grain Lasercast bullets, 10.2 grains of 4227 and Winchester Small Pistol primers. My rifle is primer sensitive, wont fire Remingtons consistantly. I use the Marbles tang sight with a Lyman 17a and the wide post, only 12 clicks total elevation adjustment from chix to rams. Flattens everything it hits.

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to try to work a deal for the 32-20 later this week. I have 4227 and 296 on hand for load development, but I'll have to get sights I think.

The specific globe style front sight you need, assuming you're using the Williams FP rear, is a Lyman 17AUG (.584 height).
