Bushnell Scopechief

I have a Bushnell Scopechief 6-20 X 40 AOin perfect condition that I'm considering for smallbore silhouette. Currently the scope has a fine crosshair reticle with a tiny Lee dot--maybe 1/8", probably for target work -- that is too small for these old eyes. I'm considering sending the scope off to Lee to get a 1/2 or 5/8 MOA dot installed. But before I spend the $$, I'd like to know a little more about the scope's tracking. This was never a major point for target work, but obviously it is for MS. What do you think? Should I send it off to Lee, or sell it & get something else, maybe a Weaver V16. Money is definitely an object!
BTW -- anybody know how big the V16 dot is?
I should add, BTW, that this is the old Scopechief that was top of the Bushnell line when it was discontinued in favor of the Elite series a few years ago, not the cheaper mid-range series of the same name that was more recently introduced.
