Any idea how their "new interchangeable barrel system" works?

Just think.. you might be able to get a two-screw action with a Varmint barrel and the silhouette stock once they complete the transition.

I wonder if they are going to an M-16/Savage style barrel nut. That would be pretty interesting.

Instead of extractor cuts in the barrel you could have a reverse cone on the breech end so that the headspace would be adjustable and you could change barrels easily...say one for hunter and a heavier one for standard.

If that is the case, a good rifle is about to get even more accurate. If head space is easily tuned for a particular round the rifle would become absolutely unbeatable for the price.

When Sako came out with Sako Quad, a 4 barrel system on one receiver, Burris rifle scopes came out with a 3-9X scope with 4 color coded rings on the turrets which matched the colored ring on the barrel. This allowed you to zero with each barrel and then rotate the ring to 0 on the scope when you switched calibers.
Now if we could convince Burris to make the same scope in say 24X and set each ring for an animal distance with the 455 that would make a great combination.

Why leave it to Burris? Develop a set of coded replacement knobs and get them out there. This sounds pretty simple.
