I picked this 35 Whelen up on a trip to Cabela's in the early ninties. The pictures don't do the rifle justice it has very pretty honey colored stocks and is in excellent condition. It's been hunted very little but has accounted for several deer and an elk, there is absolutely no doubt when you hit a deer or elk with a 225 grain partition, they go down! I replaced the factory sights with Williams apeturture sights,the plastic buttplate with a pachymyer pad and sling swivels. There are a couple of tiny nicks in the buttstock near the pad otherwise the rifle is 100%. When I worked up loads for this rifle everything shot under an inch at 50yds{200gr Hornady, 225 partition, and 250 partition}. This rifle is ready to go hunting, pick up a box of ammo and sling and your in business.
