Tell you what, I think I could have pulled off an A class score if I'd have slowed down some more and if there was less wind. Got a 14/40. Seems that I was able to put down 4/5 chickens on the first set of 5, and none on my second set of 5, I need to get my head together and work on the concentration. My practice sessions have yeilded smaller groups. Kevin's 1712 is sweet, I shot it after the match and I don't even want to try to set that 2 stage, I can't even feel it setup when I'm shooting it.

Andrew a 14 is a good score for the conditions. I shot a 16 but it didnt count as it is not a registered match. YET!!. I went to greenmill on Sunday and shot a 14 and 18 got into A class in HUnter and still a B in Standard.
I was proud of my wife and son. She shot a 9 for her second time shooting and my son shot a 2. By the way I am sure some of your distraction was being squaded with my son but I sure appreciate it

Your son really had nothing to do with my score, he didn't talk when he was spotting other than to tell me where I was hitting, which he has some good eyes, he could see where I was missing without a spotting scope. I'd gladly spot for him anyday.

Good job. Remeber that's 14 Good shots. Next goal is to make more good shots. I am finding with some of my new shooters that if I get them to slow down and make just one good shot, no matter how long it takes, they do better.

That may mean only two or three good shots in 2 1/2 minutes but look at what that does for the score: 2 good shots per bank = 16/40! Three good shots per bank = 24/40!

Forget the timer in practice. Work on your stance, your concentration, your trigger control. Perfect the process of making a shot through repeated practice. The scores will go up as a by-product of improving technique.

Thanks for the info DWL. I looked up all the cheap trigger mods for my CZ, going to aquire a new spring and shim the trigger sear engagement pin.

and then get back to practicing.
