Ridgeway, day two

Posting the top three in each event took quite a bit of time last year, and I'm sure I made some mistakes. Today will be brief and complete results will be posted after the match.
As I predicted earlier the master class is turning into a free for all and most likely won't be settled until the last bank of animals on Tuesday.
In Standard rifle yesterday's big winner winner, Jared Perry, fell off the mark a little today, posting a 33. Perry's perfect 40 yesterday was the first ever shot at Ridgeway and he was presented with a special award to commemorate the moment. Perry's 33 opened the door for Augustin Sanchez Jr. who posted a 39/40 in todays match giving him the aggregate lead in Standard rifle. In addition to the battle shaping up between Sanchez and Perry there are severl shooters within striking distance shoulld these two falter. In the Hunter class, which was shot in a mixture of sunshine and rain, Cathy Winstead broke out of a mini slump to post a 39 and win the match. Past national champion Dennis Martinez shot a 38 and William Zander shot a 37. Again, this match is too close to call and is within reach of at least half a dozen shooters.
More pics have been posted in photobucket. Will post results tomorrow after the matches are decided. Then it's off to New York City for a few days rest and recuperation. Ed Jones (Gator) is shooting in the highpower championship and hopefully will be able to keep everyone updated on that.
Tommorow's forcast calls for more rain, which should make things really interesting.
The match has ran very smoothly and has been the scene of some extrordinary shooting. Feel bad for all you that had to stay home. Next year the Nationals will return to Raton. Start making plans now to attend.
