He had something come up but showed up to do hipower. Lones left after the first day of SB and Evelio was hospitalized before the match started. Someone said he had syphilis, but I think they meant shingles. They thought it was gallstones. Anyway , he and Paul Freeman went home early. Neither shot. Evelio is resting comfortably at home now.

Every afternoon was a mess. The wind was tricky, and the animals moved. (I swear). Bill Motl was up to his usual tricks and kept poor Mark Pharr hoping. Great shootoff between Joy and Mark, with Mark using Bill's GPGreen gun. Joy gave Mark a second chance and he took it. WZ shot a 39, Motl shot a 39. Cathy was a machine. Some really good scores. Kolby Rassmussen won a match outright, and got 10 turkeys. Kitty's protoge Mallory put the hurt on several people. 10 years old, not even 4 feet tall and the last day shoots a 24. Lots of good competition.

Thanks for the report! I had wondered about Evelio, and it is good to hear he's at least on the mend. It sounds like some really good shooting, but how does Mini-Kitty drop a 24 on us?! That's just wrong!

It appears Team Kitty is doing well... way to go Mallory!!!!!

I saw Dr. Evelio was scratched off and was wondering what that was about... I need to check and see how he is doing, may need to send more medicine :D ~o) .

Great matches, lots of good shooting. A full report when we get home. Mini Kitty exceeded expectations, cannot begin to describe the sheer joy she experienced shooting with her friends at the nationals. Elizabeth Steiger is a great role model for young lady shooters and was a blessing to Mallory all weekend. Great shooting, too Elizabeth. Today Mini Kitty got a taste of highpower during lunch break. Shot my gun hit the first 3 pigs she pulled the trigger on, going 3 of 5. Then went 4 of 5 on chickens, all offhand. Shot Cathys gun and went 2of 4 on pigs.....10 years old, under 4 ft tall, and 63 lbs soaking wet....am now taking donations for a junior sized hoghpower fot a deserving young shooter......shes noe officially hooked...karma paying me back for getting so many people hooked on silhouette.....lol

Can't wait to hear it all John.... Yes pay backs are sometimes painful :D :ymdevil: . But just think, if you're good she may let you borrow her new rifles and when you get old she'll wheel you out to the range to get some sun ;)

You're going to need a progressive loader, unless you can get BB to help you =))

Mini-Kitty can already load her own way faster than I can, and grinning the whole time!

The conditions were great during the SB matches. We had a few sprinkles and a light breeze. Never more than 2 minutes on the rams. The only down side was the targets were hard to see. They were painted white with slow drying paint. When they fell into the dirt, the dirt stuck to the wet paint and looked like the dirt.

The drama was when Cathy and Laura went into the rams tied. For some reason Laura did not shoot them well.
