I'm thinking about getting into some other types of shooting and was just wondering if anyone else shoots other matches. I kinda want to shoot 50 meter prone, but I really don't want to invest in a new rifle and coat and all that stuff yet. I was thinking about shooting NRA Light Rifle as kind of a bridge between the two. Any other suggestions?

CMP Smallbore, the only thing is your rifle has to be under 7.5 lbs. It's fun and cheaper then HP, but then again we all like to shoot HP

We also have indoor Sporterifle up here in the fall and winter. 50' off hand at the 6 bull targets lots of fun and good practice.

My wife and I shoot F-Class at 600 and 1000 yards. We both shoot Remington 6mmBR's. I have a 308 Palma gun that I have shot F-Class Open and TR with, but the 6mmBR is such an accurate mild shooting cartridge, the 308 is collecting dust now.

We also shoot our Club's local 200 and 300 yard F-Class matches with the same guns as well as a 200 ayrd prone 22RF match.

Trap and Sporting Clays....two sports where the amount I spent on my custom 1712 Evelio pales in comparison to what others spend on shotguns.

malinios....you need to shoot ILSA man, from a lawn chair, resting the pistol.....you can't miss. Yeah right. Just remember to bring lots of nickels and a good sense of humor with a fast tongue cuz these boys cut no slack. Granted they are not too used to having a woman throw it back at them.

I used to date a gal named Ilsa, and although I never took a shot at her, I do like the lawn chair idea. And she was also very competitive.

I used to shoot bench rest. Nothing worse than getting beat by a few thousanths of an inch in group size. This is strictly an equipment game, and poking holes in paper got boring . Silhouette is a heck of alot more fun for the money.

lawn chair shooting. Well the field target guys have that one wraped up....But am now feeling a lot better since I had my 3 margaritas....yummy.

I've tried almost every other shooting game invented once, my fav's are skeet with a .410 only {it's too easy with anything bigger, I don't shoot tournaments, for fun only} hunter benchrest {6x scope max and a points score game, not group size, very challenging} and BR-50 {22lr} also a points score game. All very fun but with the price of Tenex I'm not sure I'll shoot BR-50 anymore.

I shoot a variety of pistol games in the local area. This is mainly because there are no other types of rifle games other than smallbore silhouette.

Although Bullseye lacks the heart pounding excitement of IDPA, IPSC, or Action Pistol, it is the absolute best way to learn trigger control. I have found Bullseye helps with the other shooting games, including silhouette.

And to the best of my knowledge, although Bullseye pistol has been around almost 100 years, not a single person has managed to shoot a perfect score. Someone here can correct me if I'm wrong on that.
