Any one ever replaced thier factory firing pin spring with a Wolff extra strength spring and was there any negative consequences ?

I put them in a 54MS, and it solved the misfire problem. I never had another problem since the new springs, and it has been about 3 years.

Last week I discovered that my BR-50 gun a 40XR has been cocked all winter in the safe. The guns 19 years old so I'm thinking it needs a new spring anyway. It really sounds weak.
