Wyoming State HP match

Just got home from the Wyoming State HP match up in Lander, WY. It's about 360 miles NW from the Denver area. Had excellent weather with temps in the 50's and 60's and little wind. Never touched my windage knobs all weekend.

Had a very low turnout. Only four shooters for a state match. Got each days 80 shots done by noon. Scores weren't great, but we had fun. Ron K. won the hunter gun title. I won the heavy gun honers. Roger swept AA both days, :) (me , Tyler and Ron are AAA)

With getting done early with the match on Saturday, Sara and I had time to take a 3 mile hike up a local canyon to a waterfall. It was a good way to unwind from the long ride to Lander. Saw a couple of bighorn sheep along the way.

We all went out for a steak dinner and a few beers Saturday night. We discussed possibly combining the State SB and HP next year to boost attendance, kind of the way Missoula does there's. We'll see.

Well, next stop for me is the regional HP in St. Louis this weekend. 240 rounds of HP plus practice.....cant wait 8) Here is some pictures from this weekend. http://s190.photobucket.com/albums/z94/ ... ?start=all I loaded the pictures in the reverse order, sorry. I'm tired. Time for bed.

Thanks for the pics. If you had to guess what is the elevation at the range? If you had went to the dark side (6.5mm) that ram wouldn't be haunting your dreams!

No guessing, JB. Lander is 5375 ft. above the ocean. And I slept well. No second guessing not going to any 6.5 cartridges. :P It's simple...you got to hit them to have any chance of tipping them over. Yep, Bob...the pile is starting to grow.
