well, I spent the past 2 hours importing and redrawing the NRA PDF file targets and scaling them to size. The grid is 1" interval. suggestions?








I just printed the cad drawings to scale on the printer and held them up to the NRA printed PDF files and they are a perfect match, 100% scale. Its time to get them on the plasma table for a test run. Maybe 2 of each for swingers?

If you can print them on 8.5x11 card stock. They are great to practice with. I use them like this as I usually throw shots somewhere, and with the paper I can see where the bulk of my shots are going. Hitting or missing and can see if there is a pattern to my misses. I have bunch of misses. Usually blowing them over the top.

for some reason, the first match I shot, I missed alot of what felt like good shots over the top of the animals. could have been my POA, I was using a borrowed rifle and didn't sight it in on paper, I was content that I was hiting animals. I never thought of using paper for practice, but it seems like a good idea, I can print it on paper and just shoot it off the target board....

I do have some suggestions.

Put each one on a seperate sheet, place a 1 MOA dot grid on each sheet, and have two of the animals, facing different directions.

The MOA grid is very helpful in scope adjusting.

Having the animals showing both sides allows you to practice shooting at what you will actually see.

If you are really motivated do one with the animals facing different directions but superimposed to show the cental area that is a sure hit regardless of direction. Not as big as you would think for the turkeys.

Last and most important step- find a place to post them on the web so others can benifit from your skills and efforts- especially those of us without the computer skills to do the above

Just a quick throw together on this one. I can produce a target sheet for anyone who wants it, even post it on steelchickens. Do you want them like this? Or do you want them overlappingwhere to the point that they have the most common area instead of lined up like I put them.

As for the target page, I can make them regular and inverse, and put the "superimposed" ones on there as well, The Ram will be probably one target per page where I can put the other three on one page, I will need to see what works best.

Anyone have a copy of adobe writer or know where I can get one?

Yeah, I've got a copy of Acrobat Pro if you want me to make anything into PDF files for you.

I'll get the files made, printed, proofed and what not, do you know what resloution will make the JPG file into an acctual size to fit on a 8.5x11? I can get the pics printed, put some color to them, put a MOA grid on there and get it all scanned in and choped up nice to send your way for making them into a PDF.

Looks good to me. The overlapped ones would be a bit confusing to actually shoot at- but it does give you something to think about.

they won't be as bad when I get done with them, all the comon areas will be outlined in orange or some other color and the rest of the outlines will be a smaller black line.
