Looking forward to it. Though barely squeezing into AA now has put a damper on my hopes for placing well, haha. I think the extra pressure of it being Provincials will be good experience, though.

If I don't get to go to the Southern Nationals, I think I might try to hit the BC Provincials. Living in northwest WA, I bet it won't be any farther a drive to there than it is to Pe Ell for the Conard Cup. Not that I expect to finish all that high, but it sounds like it would be fun, except for the whole taking guns across the border and back part. I'll go ahead and put it on the calendar. I work in Canada a lot. The one thing that I see that holds people up are previous DUI convictions. They are a felony in Canada. Ensure that you have cleared that up before you show up at the border. Thankfully I am not speaking from experience, just observation.
I haven't shot at the Nanaimo range, but hear that it's a nice facility. If I go up there in the next month, i'll drop by and let you know.

I live about 1/2 an hour from the Nanaimo range, just up island in Parksville. So that's my monthly match range anyway ;) I was just wondering about coming down to Washington at some point in the future, which is why I asked.

Coming up on the deadline for entry pretty quick, don't forget to get yours in! (Almost forgot mine, haha, it's going in the mail Monday morning!)

Well, it seems they've got enough entrants already to ensure that the event takes place. So you no longer need to worry about the entry deadline. If you were hoping to attend, you can get your registration in at any time, or even register the morning of the first match day if it takes that long to figure out if you can make it.

I hear we've got at least a couple U.S. shooters making the trip. Anyone from here?

Well, it was a great three days! Day two was the first day of matches, and was kinda long. I think everyone was getting pretty tired after lunch for the second set of matches. We had 24 shooters in all, including a couple of guys up from Washington State, and we saw some really great scores. Jacquie Brown was on fire and tied the BC high score record in hunting rifle with a 38/40, wow! And Bob Ball got his Grand Slam in hunting rifle! Here's a couple pics of the scoreboards.
