Does anyone compete with traditional buckhorn sights?

Yes, a number of people do, and do quite well.
I don't think any of the master class shooters do, if that tells you something.
I could be wrong.

Thanks, Dennis!
I don't play this game yet, but if I do, it wiill be to improve my marksmanship with my rifles as they are currently configured...and have fun, of course!

H.Plummer give it a try. You have summed up a couple very important aspects of the game:
"to improve my marksmanship with my rifles as they are currently configured...and have fun, of course!"

PAndy, I think I might just give it a whirl! My local club is done for the year with their monthly matches but I need a LOT of practice before next year anyway.
I'd start with smallbore levergun and work up to pistol cartridge levergun.

My wife shoots them way better then she should… AAA is SB and AA with 2 legs up in PC. She doesn’t shoot them in CLA.
If you have them already BY ALL MEANS you should give them a go. You can always change them later.
