What is the maximum muzzle velocity for ammo in small bore? Can I shoot 1200 ?

The rules say no hyper velocity ammo or any ammo that damages the targets...

The question I would ask is why would you want to shoot 1200 fps ammo?

You can get good quality standard velocity ammo for about $2.50 per box. Some have found usable standard velocity for less. With the work your gun has had done to it (rechambering and the barrel re-crowned by a bench rest smith) it should shoot it all "good enoungh" for this game. The cheap HV stuff is going to bug the heck out of the shooters around you and will be less accurate.

Are you comming out Tomorrow? I can bring you some sub $2.50 a box stuff and you bring the hv stuff and we'll compare groups out of your rig at 100 meters...

George, I should be there. The reason i ask is that I want to try CCI blazers and the federal Auto-Match . I have been doing some reasearch and have determined that the CCI's are about the best cheap suff you can buy. I saw some tests shot in a few other well prepped CZ's. If I remember correctly, the Blazers shot around .54" @ 50M

PS I am aware of the buffeting issue when a round goes sub.
