How much do those with home ranges practice?

Just wondering how often those of you with SB or AG ranges practice a timed match. Lately I have been shooting 50/50 between a CZ 452 at regulation silhouettes and AG using a Steyr SSP 10m rifle on paper. To totally different animals but I love to shoot both. Thinking I should probably shoot some with my PCP's as well.
How do those of you that shoot multiple types of rifles practice/train using the assortment? How much do you rotate around? Seems if I want to train I can use any of them but for practicing with each its night and day differences, my CZ's trigger will never be the same as the Steyr, Daystate or Air Arms.
The nice thing about the airgun practice is the cheapness of doing so. The hard part is I now have the area and targets for a SB range now I want to put to use.
So how do you multi class shooters train/practice for so many different rifles and how much do you do?

I used to practice at least once a week at a gun club which had a SB range. However, that range is now closed, so I make due with a public range which only goes to 100 yards.
Using a timer really helped me to slow down and concentrate on my shots. My technique would be to fire two, 40 round matches and no more. Although I have swingers, I almost always shoot paper targets so I can see where the misses go. That is useful as well.

Dee,
I'm a lucky guy that has a 100yard range and I can shoot 100yards from the porch of my cabin. I shoot smallbore almost everyday and usually mix in cowboy silhouette and .22 pistols. I've been a run and gun shooter for most of my adult life and smallbore silhouette MAKES me slow down and aim. I have a lot of bad habits to break ,at this stage in life, so I try to dry fire 5 shots to each live round fired. If I get too anxious and want to just hit the targets, I just put my kimber away and go mow the lawn, cut wood, etc...
I've learned a bunch about the silhouette game by watching this forum and asking questions of succesful shooters. Switching back and forth from one silhouette rifle to another seems to help me to not jerk the trigger.
Slowing down and shooting paper part of the time has helped me fine tune my stance , grip and sight settings. Shooting smallbore cowboy silhouette makes me appreciate the scope on my kimber and shooting smallbore targets with my kimber makes me like the large cowboy silhouettes. Both discplines seem to compliment each other. For me anyway. I'm over 50 and just a new guy to silhouette.

I mostly practice on SB swingers at the local range for stance, hold, breathing, trigger control, follow through, etc. About 1 out of 4 practices I go to paper just to check POI and grouping.
I usually shoot a match each weekend, either SB, HP or Lever, which I find is the best practice for focus.
At home I shoot a springer at 10 mtrs but I find the hold so different I'm not sure it helps a lot.

hi dee,
i shoot 2 practice matches with score card and timer once a week and matches almost every weekend.it has really helped me not rush and the score card lets me know whick animals i may want to work on. i shoot home made swingers and on ocasion resetables that my club just got.
the only thing with swingers is that they swing even with poor hits that would not topple the real thing. when i am honest i score them with a x and an o( like the x-men comic) i also list what gun and ammo i use and note any thing that mabey diffrent such as weather , sore bakc or what not.
the best match practice i have done so far is head to head shoot offs with my range pals, friendly compitition is still competition
regards
handsome dave

Hi Dee,
During the summer months (May through Sept) we shoot outdoor SB twice a week at the local ranges and in Sept they shoot Air rifle Silhouette on Saturdays. While I haven't done so very much this year I also try to shoot the AG indoors in my basement at the paper 50' silhouette targets. I don't have 50', only 33', but it still helps with the hold and follow through.
While I did get a new SB rifle this year and I'm still struggling with it's 2 pound trigger (love light triggers) I do see my scores and consistency being off from previous years. The AG forces you to follow through and being heavier makes the lighter SB rifle hold much better.
