Both of my 45 Colt Lever Actions, a Rossi and a Marlin Cowboy require a .454 cast bullet. Has anyone had any experience with Penn Bullets .454 230 gr RN bullet for Cowboy PC shooting? I have a 250 SWC load that works well for Rams but is to hot for the other animals. When I reduce load accuracy goes to pot. With 7.0 gr of Red Dot and CCI 300 primer I get about 2.5 inch groups at 100. Any experience with lighter bullets and or loads would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ferret Master

I just sold an angle eject '94 with 24" barrel. It shot 250 gr cast bullets well with 9.5gr of Universal. I found it to be a mild load in that rifle.
