Well hi all bought myself one of these recently and it sure is giving me the run around on load development anyone got some hints for me to save me sum time and money???

I am currently using ~ 7-7.3 of Solo 1000 with 124 Hornady XTPs. Nice clean load.

125gr. with unique.
FYI be ready for everyone to give you their favorite load. There are many for the .357
or you can sell me that gun and all your worries will be gone!!

i have two loads that work well for me. 125gr hp sierra with titegroup, 158gr x-treme plated with titegroup and/or sr4756. i run my plated loads slow, not over 1,100 fps.

Thank-you to all who have replied so far and to let you guys know trying to Source some Hodgen titegroup but here in Oz it doesn't seem available so I have had some success with Unique/AP70n here with the 158's will reduce them to the 125 and even try the 110"s and will let you all know how it goes

125 Sierra with Tite Group works very well for me. You will want to keep them below 1300fps so not to damage targets.

158 grain cast with 4 grains of W231 will recoil like a .22 and always drop rams.

@ 4 grains per shot, a pound of powder lasts a very long time!

Jim Luke shoots 125gr Hornady over 5gr of Unique. I shoot that too, but I don't beat Jim.
Must have a better rifle! (Or simply be a better marksman.)

Careful with the ejector, breaks very easy.

Well I'm starting to get this rifle sorted out at last .
took it out to have a bit more of a fiddle with it today and found it likes those 110 grn pills best to date is 4 shots under a 1" @ 50m (55yrds) with 110 grn Winchesters and using 7.5 grns of Unique and Williams sights/Lyman au17
Might drop it to 7 Grns as it was tighting up at 7.5 down from 8 Grns. might be able to screw a few more 10/10's out of her yet??
Also this was repeatable shot well like this on 3 out of 4 targets

So is the ejector a common problem on these rifles??

Here's what I use in my 357 Rossi. No need to adjust sights.
Chicken 12gr 4227 / 125 Rainer RN
Pig 13gr 4227 / 125 Rainier RN
Turkey 7.5 gr Unique 158 Rainier RN
Rams 7.5 gr Unique 158 Rainier RN

Ejector is weak design.
Thing is, if it breaks, the gun still works fine. Just keep the pieces.
Mine has been that way for years, you just need to pick out the empty case each shot.
I kind of like it that way now.
I also have good luck with the 110 grainers.
You will have more accuracy with the hornady's.

Most other rifle brands and models don't seem to like the 110's.
