How does an individual get over their intense hatred of synthetic stocks?
I am considering a synthetic stock for weight reasons.
To be honest I did see a composite stock that I actually liked. It was the stock on the Gnome's Small-Bore Silhouette Rifle. bore rifle.

Dave, they don't swell, warp or bend with the change in weather. You sight them in and they stay there. Talk nice to Steve and pay him, he will make you a pretty one too.
If you get one, go with the carbon fiber. They are the lightest and damn strong.

That's one way to personalize a synthetic stock.

Jerry, I have to admit that the carbon fiber (CF) stock you are using is nearly a work of art. I am almost afraid to find out how much it costs. It was probably chump change for a wealthy guy like you.
I really like wood but it is heavier than a CF stock. Decisions to be made.

Don't tell anyone Dave but I won it at the big April shoot at PeEll. considering all the airline tickets, car rentals, motel costs that I have spent over the last 15 years it was expensive. It would have been much cheaper just to buy it. But, I really like shooting at that cold place every year and hugging the wood stove even if I don't win anything except a cap.

One of these days I would like to shoot in Pel Ell's match. Maybe even the Ironman match would be nice. Alas, I will probably have to wait until I hit the lottery.
How much do those CF stocks go for? $1400-$1500?
