Just checking the dates for lever guns, are they shooting for 6 days? Last year was only 4 days.

Dates are too close to a busy work time for me at work at the end of July.
I wish the cowboy was about a week later in August.
Doesn't look like I will be able to go.

Did anybody notice that there is a heck of a lot of time in those schedules compared to how they played out last year (and most years). Look how long CLA and BPCR and BPTR are and the time allotted to .22BPCR. Some of that can be attributed to practice days, but we either haven't been given that sort of time in the past. It makes for a lengthy trip. Also, BPTR is not overlapping with BPCR as it was last year and back "in the day" (2/3 overlap) . I wonder if these dates will stand? I would wager that there will be some compression.

Somebody better tell the WC. The dates on their calendar don't correspond with Al's.

Personally, I'm not making plans until I hear from someone in authority, and I expect that won't be until January.

The Whittington Center is expecting some small bore silhouette shooters next summer.

The dates I posted came directly from an email from Dennis Willing. If you look back through the dates listed for the 2016 CLA matches they had 5 days listed then also.

This schedule isn't exactly favorable for us eastern cowboy shooters who also shoot HP. We basically will shoot HP at Ridgway; go home, repack the car and head for Raton. Hey, we'll make it work, because we're dedicated to our sport.

I was not questioning your source just that there seems to be a disconnect between the NRA Silhouette Committee and the Whittington Center.

That's not unusual. Last year, the Whit also had the wrong dates posted for a while. But I don't think either sets of dates will be the actual final version.

The error on the part of the Whittington Center was posting the dates before the committee voted on the location.
