Day one in the books, weather was a little inconsistent but overall the conditions were pretty good. Will give a more complete recap later but after the dust settled Al Bean was HoA CLA with a 71, Matt Pavlik Silver with a 69 in a shootoff over Brian Wakefield Bronze.

Day two saw competition with the PC rifles, Matt Pavlik took HoA with a 73 and set a new turkey long run record of 32. Matt didn't miss a turkey all day. Meanwhile 4 competitors fired 71 to create an exciting shootoff for second and third. Judy Fisher came out on top earning the silver over Randy Ent who settled for Bronze, Al Bean took 1st Master and Brian Wakefield 2nd Master. Sitting on top of the Agg are Pavlik and Bean with 142's, another group is sitting in the shadows within easy striking distance if the leaders falter.

Day Three saw great conditions for the Small Bore match reflected in some excellent scores including a 39 a couple of 38's, two 37's and a batch of 36's and 35's. Former National Champ Hal Simpkins, MD flirted with a 40 in the afternoon match. Hal had no misses going into his final bank of chickens before dropping one to finish with a 39. In the morning Hal fired a 35 to complete a 74 and take the Gold. Matt Pavlik took home the Silver with a 73 while Al Bean survived a 4 way shoot off to secure the Bronze.

In the 3 Gun Aggregate Pavlik came in to the day tied for the lead with Bean and a 2 shot lead over Brian Wakefield the 2015 3 Gun Aggregate National Champ. Matt fired a strong score of 38 morning 35 afternoon 73 total to secure the Eastern Regional Championship with a 215/240, Al earned the silver with a 34/37 71, 213 while Brian took home the Bronze with a 37/34 71, 211.

This was a great match. If you live anywhere in the mid-Atlantic, or North-East, you don't want to miss this match. It's the closest to shooting the national matches type of experience you can get. Plan on it for 2017.
