Subject: silhouette books

I had a conversation with Gregg Connors today about another subject and then he brought up the doing away of books for silhouette. He says it is looking more and more that they will NOT take away our books. This is because when they look at the amount of programming needed for rifle books and pistol books it becomes evident that there is too much to do. So his statement as of today is they will NOT change us over in 2017. He said he'd had a meeting with Dennis and they had looked at the cost of matches being run across the US and if they add an additional cost for the computer classification change it would put the clubs out of business.

I am not sure we can trust Dennis to not bull his way through anyway, regardless of any facts presented to him. But I have hope for the future anyway.

A side note. At nationals, Pat French has been the computer person in the trailer with Gregg for several years now. In Sept she "retired" from doing any of the work for the NRA mostly because it looks more and more like Barry Ramey would be stepping in and taking over from Gregg when he retires. Pat told me she would not work with Barry. So this year Gregg is still with silhouette and if you know of anyone interested in doing the stats for the silhouette nationals have them get a hold of Gregg.

You can forward this to anyone you think would be interested. Have a great MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Glenda

Hmmmmmmmmm, I am curious to see how this unfolds.

Jerry, have you considered retiring from active competition and pursuing a secondary career as a statistician for the NRA?

There's a height requirement Dave, so Jerry doesn't qualify. :ymdevil: =))

LOL!

I stand corrected! I guess you need to stand taller than 4 feet.

Dave and Bob, I couldn't stand to be among those people from the Northeast. They are a little strange. :ymdevil:

**== Jerry, I would like to correct your last statement. As someone from the northeast I can attest we are more than a little strange! It has to do with the cold winters and snow. **==
I am much more normal since moving west and south.

I am glad to hear that Dave. I wish the warm weather would fix Bob. :))
