Welcome, David. I'll have an update on all the numbers later today, but will start a new thread. You guys have hijacked this one beyond recognition.

Jeanne, check your Colorado figures again. We did a known head count of those attending at today's HP match. We come up with six for sure with a possible seventh depending on the local wheat harvest schedule.

Eleven shooters is incorrect. Unless there are some other CO shooters that do not normally shoot with the main CRC group?

I can think of three from Colorado without looking at the list that don't shoot with your group. My numbers are correct.

Agreed, we figured it out, I stand corrected. My apologies to you.

I will refrain from pestering you any further.
As an aside I looked at my only hard copies of past National results bulletins to compare the attendance numbers for HP. The numbers are..... Standard.....Hunter
Phoenix 2001.....142.....105
Raton 2002.....154.....124
Raton 2004.....136.....108
Raton 2007.....103.....101
Raton 2009.....98.....91
Raton 2012.....86.....85
Raton 2014.....70.....63
I think from this point results went electronic and I don't have them handy. Maybe someone else can pick it up from here with adding the Ridgway, PA numbers to present.

Hey Al, you need to convince some of your "eastern" buddies that it is now safe in the "wild-west", it has been tamed, there are now bridges over the mighty Mississippi, ( no need to swim ), and that they should come on down to Raton and SUPPORT
THEIR SPORT.

Greg Connor said that rotating the nationals from one spot to another would only result in a regional match with the national title.

FWIW I agree with that. I have belonged to some other national organizations and they all have a traditional finals at a traditional location. It is what it is, some people it's easy to get to, some, not so much. For the sanctioning body it makes it much easier because they can make multi-year deals on the facility/accommodations and such.
Financially it makes sense.
