I am up front at the Best Western, perhaps Ratons finest digs, messing with the internet. We just had a burrito dinner at the Sands
but walked over to Dairy Queen for ice cream.
This town is sadly lacking in decent food. We ate at K -Bobs for steak last night...again
Bob, if you like Mexican food the Sands is the place to go. My friend Dennis Ostler and I went there four times last month while shooting the Cowboy Nationals. I personally recommend #82 Carne Tampico (large piece of sirloin, cheese quesadilla, rice and beans plus salad bar).
The place was recommended to me by my friends Rick Kelly and Glenda Graves, a couple from Yuma that spend the summer at Raton working and shooting at the WC.
