Glen,
Regarding your 336SC, you just may find that .311-.312" diameter cast bullets will produce much better groups. As I understand it, many of the 336SC .30-30's had slightly oversized .310" groove diameters. Mine does. It definitely shoots the best with .311-.312" diameter cast bullets. Average 100 yard groups run close to 1 1/2".
