In the Zediker photo of David and his chin gun. The 1 inch tube between the action and the scope is thich walled aluminium tubing. It is set in regular rings mounted to the action. On that is mounted two # 15 weaver bases then another set of rings then the scope. By changing ring heights and rotating everything you could make all kinds of variations.
Another thing we had to contend with was windage adjustment along with elevation adjustment for each distance.
The Open class was only shot one year at the nationals 1994 with smallbore at Crestline, Ohio and Highpower at Raton.
There may have been a couple shot in 93 in the standard class but I am not sure.
I still have two of these stocks for the 700. One is a 700 wood stock cut and reangled at the wrist. The other is made of aluminium angle I welded up one day. Both are covered with dust.
