We are just on here to talk shooting. Maybe some folks need to move out of their mother's basement and get a life. I just can't see for the life of me how some folks are entertained by being rude . Let's talk shooting...

Also the leveler bullets or ammunition are not legal per GregC. They are spitzers therefore against the rules, does not matter they were designed for the rifle.


To the original question, for 22 mag and 22 LR, I load all five. For all others, fire one, put a round in the magazine cycle the action, and repeat. I like this best because I do not have 4 or five rounds in the tube being beat together each time I fire. I am not concerned with setting one off, but more toward shortening the overall length, if I chose not to crimp hard.

Glenn, you’re the one proving to provide some entertainment value….. you need to lighten up and not get your panties in a wad all the time over nothing. We ALL love shooting on here, but you really need to lighten up or it will affect your shooting if you don’t. Relax and try to enjoy.

I load 10-15 rounds and shoot continually until I hear cease-fire, reloading during that time if necessary. After the cease-fire, I simply look downrange, count the targets still standing, and mark the scoresheet accordingly. Works great. I'm surprised more folks don't do it this way.

Dustin That is great. My first IHMSA match was with a 22 auto loader and I thought you shot all the animals down as fast as possible and with as many shots as it took! I had shot IPSC and was still in fast mode.

Bob thank you for the advice. You have mentioned panties twice so I'll defer to your expertise in the matter. I don't wear them...but will gladly engage you in a conversation about them at any match. just come up, tap me on the shoulder and introduce yourself.

Apparently you have an issue with me for some reason. I don't know what. other shooters have asked me about it at matches so here is your chance to air it out. You quip at me on a public forum and I'm sure people wonder why...as do i...so air it out girlie...let it all out...Emotions that is.

Good one Dustin.... but I'll bet it happens. I remember when shooting Bullseye pistol I was asked to watch a shooter and in slow fire counted 14 or 15 shots, not the 10 allowed. When asked the shooter said well I didn't have 10 on the target yet... As you can tell he wasn't a very good shot and wouldn't have been a threat at any match, but I'm sure it happens more then we would lke to think. Doing that only fools the shooter into thinking he/she has done well and does not allow them to improve.

I load all five in and get my first shot off soon after the fire command. Quite often I'm the first shot. That gives me almost two minutes to get four shots off. Plenty of time in case the unexpected occurs eg. wind, missfire, it just doesn't feel "right" and I redo my firing sequence etc. Also, I like to be efficient, I don't need to add four more additional loading sequences where I can drop a round or get distracted. But, that's me.

Sounds like Dustin plays by the "Local" Tasmanian rules, just load up, shoot, and if you find you have rounds left in the mag, have another go!!
It don't matter which targets you hit either, just put an X down for each one you hit.
