Made it home safe, thanks for posting, Trent.
Cathy told us she lost three rams with the 6X47L using 105 Lapua's. Two in the chest and a center hit all stood. James says any hit south of the dinger usually knocks them down. This cuts her available target size in half, but she has the skill to place them right.
GRENZ!!!! you sneaked off again with out getting a hug from Dave!
Mary, Jerry G. had another mishap as he entered Wyoming again this year. Last year it was a pricey speeding ticket. This time it was a flat tire after hitting a steel pipe hang clamp, so he said. It was more likely a stop stick set up by the State Patrol.

His little go cart comes with no spare, just a can of flat fix which oozes out of big holes.

Cost him a buck twenty five for a tow and fifteen for the tire fix. And...Crackers left him out in the cold as a no show for the match.
Thanks go out to Roger, Ron and Tyler for their continued efforts putting on this match for the Colorado shooters and the strays from way out there!
P.S......Dave has plenty of good pictures he will post soon.

Well Cathy is such a nice person she brought some pie to the WY state match. She served me thick slice of humble pie, it tasted a little bitter, but I ate it anyway. A big thanks all the guys who stood by me during me during my suicide watch. McAlice found a putty knife in the office during our lunch break, he used it to scrape my ego off the firing line before the High Power Hunter started. It sure helped. I shot a 31 x 40 the first match and 32 x 40 the second match. I finished up on chickens and cleaned them. After a short rest I shot a long run and shot another 6 for a total of 16 in a row. A new WY state record. I finished my HP STD rifle grand slam with 10 rams.
Cathy is going to hard to beat at the Nationals this year boys and girls, she averaged 37 for the four smallbore matches. Good luck to all going to challenge the Queen of Silhouette in Ridgeway. My guess is Cathy will be serving some different favors of humble pie to the other competitors.
I took this picture of Jerry Grenz shooting his High Power STD rifle. Note the how he keeps his head on the stock and looks though his boosted scope. I think he is aiming ?

In Sports Psychology he is doing what is called Imagery. You are supposed to picture in your mind the crosshairs sitting on the center of the animal and squeezing the trigger. I think Jerry is imagining some nice snow capped mountains. I think the range he is thinking of is called Brokeback Mountain.
Either that or his boosted scope just caught a glint of the 100* sun and burned his retina.

Congratulations on your Grand Slam Dave!!!!! One more of those and you will join the very exclusive group of folks that have both smallbore guns and both high power guns. I believe all you need is 10 turkeys right?

I have good loads for my new 6x47 Remington if your ready to switch to a gun with less recoil, the tab was right at 1K using a new 700 in .223 for the project including dies.
