Baby Huey...first I KNOW we have to teach you how to spell. Now for the choice of stock....yes a split finger Pharr or a Wooster will be considerably different from a CZ. So really you should come to WInnsboro just to try all the different stocks that will be gathered in one place.

As for you Paul, what is chango going to shoot? You are his leader? Guess I'll have to take over and lend something of mine, as for watching out for the Mojito...forget it, I have my hands full with running the air rifle, keeping Pharr's vodka glass full, dealing with all the ex arm candy that Abrigos is encouraging to come along and most of all preparing for the junior seminar that Commander Kitty and I are hosting.

Well, I hate to say this, but right now I am not planning to come over to Winnie. Not because of my friend Paul not coming, but I also have some big problems with my feet, I can hardly stand on concrete for more than 10 minutes before an excruciating pain starts. Actually my shop floor in front of the machines is covered with 2" of shock absorbing rubber foam. I had this problem for years, and I been trying to ignored it, and putting up with it, but it is really getting to the point where I really need to see a foot doctor, in the mean time, I have taken into the benchrest matches, where I can seat on my butt, and stop the pain in my feet.
I have been going to Winnie since their first match, and if my memory is correct, I missed two, and this one may be my third, and every time I regretted not going, but as everybody has stated several times in S.C. this is a one kind of match, that any Silhouette shooters has to make at least once, THERE IS NO OTHER MATCH IN THE WORLD LIKE IT.
I will miss seeing all my good friends, and I know I will regret not going, but if I get my F-----feet straighten out I will be there next year.

P.S. The van that MOJITO has been driving for the last 12 years, actually has a builded in GPS unit,it has been in just about every range, that I shoot on, several times, and I also practically stay at the same location every time, so when I don't have a pilot, all I have to say is, TAKE ME HOME, and I just relax, and thank GOD it made it fine. That all happen during my younger years, I actually think, that I am behaving more as I get older.

Due to some possibly lucky circumstances I may be scooping up a 54.18 for a reasonable piece of change.

The vest is great. Besides for getting a scope with a dot it may be the best thing I have invested in yet! And I still will have CZ even after I sell my silhouette. Theres a nice little american with a jeweled bolt hidding in the house.

i am an american, bolt is not jeweled though......bedazzled yes....jeweled no......starting to itch a little

S13...the vest is probably more important than the scope for beginners...if nothing else it helps keep things organized like ammo and magazines! Actually you will see the difference in your movement in the scope, or lack thereof when using a vest.

I couldn't agree with you anymore Mary. I still wobble, but the wobbles are a lot slower, and more predictable.

I don't know, I would rate a good scope ahead of a vest. Other than the fact that it gives me a place to put my crap I don't think it contributes a significant amount to my hold. If it does I think it is more mental than anything (consistency is important). However, it is a great cushion for high power shooting. If I had a short supply of money I would spend it on the scope before the vest every time. I shot for around 8 or 9 months without one and probably still wouldn't have one if it weren't for Jim Goodnight selling me his old abused one just before the CO state high power match last year. It makes a big difference to me with the recoil.

If a vest has a great effect on someone's hold... maybe the straps are too tight.

Trent, the vest certainly slows the visible heart movement in the scope. As for a comment, S13 was asking about a vest, he already has an acceptable scope. Yes, I agree that a reliable usable scope is important, but I shot for years with iron sights and the vest makes a big difference in the amount of movement.

I can't see my heartbeat in the scope when shooting offhand. The day I do is the day I start shooting 40's!

Of course, I can hardly see my heartbeat when shooting off the bench. Maybe I am half dead.
