problems with match chamber

the stock started out as the backing to a judges book case that had been water damaged. the design was from two of the grandkids going through magasines and pointing out what they wanted. I found a barrel that has no taper so the inleting was very easy. I chose this action because they dont have to pull back the striker, or feed the cartrige directly into the chamber. it also has an automatic safety. altho I find it to be a pain. I forget to move it to the fire position every so often. and that screws up my concentration for the next shot. the kids will be back for Thanksgiving So I should have it dialed in by then.

Looks nice, and nice work! Frustrating to have problems, but always nice to find out it was the "other guy"... Wonder if it will continue to improve with use?

I was just glad that I could fix it by reaming bigger, and not having to set the barrel back and start again! the woodwork Im pretty confident in but at the metal lathe I cut and measure , cut and remeasure alot. #57
