Follow through question

Thank to everyone very much. After shooting Capitol City this weekend and talking with Dave and some of our other shooters, I'm going back to the paper and working on my mechanics to make sure the reticle stays in place.

I am no expert AT ALL, but if you watch your position when shooting off a bag, you wiill see that you are leaned into the gun with the recoil going more down your torso than when standing and your butt is "anchored" to the ground more as you are sitting. Standing caused the recoil to be more perpendicular to your torso and your butt is not anchored to the ground. You will see more effect of the recoil through your scope due to this physical difference - not your technique.

We found this also to cause a different point of impact when sighting a high power rifle in on the bench and then shooting prone.

At least that is my opinion FWIW.
