If I had the money, I could live in Taos easily. Nice, nice town for sure. Tourist notwithstanding. I don't know if they have a local shooting range however, and that could be a deal breaker, but the area and town is great. I think it can get significant snow however. I consider that plus.

Sharon and I would move to N.M tomorrow! Absolutely love the wide open spaces and lack of people. A lodge near Chama for summer, and a nice ranch near Ft Sumner the rest of the time. Time to buy a lottery ticket or two.

And, in fact, there is at least one and maybe several.

I knew a fella that had a summer job in Taos, shooting the birds out of a vineyard.
