That's SOP on this site. You only get a couple of relevant replies before it all goes to hell.

I have 3 Hardscrabble vests: a mesh one, a suede one and a suede one with top grain leather on the top half of the back. Both of the heavy ones are excellent. I have not worn the mesh one in three years and will probably never wear it again.

My suggestion is to get a heavy one and to call and talk to Chris about the specifics and how you want him to make it. Take his advice. He knows exactly what he is talking about. Just my opinion but I would not worry about heat or cool. You can take the vest off when you are not shooting if it's hot -- buying a less-effective vest because it's cooler and lighter makes no sense to me.

I have a few of Chris' and two of Marco's, each has value to reduce visible motion. Each has advantages and disadvantages to the design. What works for you is the way to go.

I do not know but with my shooting hardly anything could make it worse.

Okay, if you say so. Then, I'll just have to replace my Gander Mountain trap vest for one of those fancy ones with some leather. I hope he won't charge me extra b/c I'm LH too!
