Congratulations to Emmett and his new wife. :!

I think that he should shoot the match tomorrow and then get married at the range after the match. :D :ymparty:
Could you think of a better way to start out as a newly wed couple than shooting together?

Julie and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary on the 3rd of this month at the monthly Winnsboro match. We did not know what silhouette was 34 years ago when we married. It was a great anniversary. Julie moved up to AA in Smallbore Standard rifle and I completed my grand slam in Outdoor Open Air Rifle. Never marry a person that does not shoot silhouette or does not have a strong desire to start shooting silhouette.

How do you get a wife to practice? I've got one that will shoot silhouette at the bigger matches of the year, but also get angry about her scores despite only shooting three times a year........... :-?
I am NOT Danny Hatch.

I guess that she needs to accept the fact that practice equals higher scores.

When I do get married again, willing to shoot silhouette or at least learn to be a spotter will be a requirement on her part to even date. :ymapplause:

Teresa is an avid shooter. She loves Cowboy matches and frequently attends at ours. She has almost beat Emmett a couple of times and her scores are close as well. She is definitely a keeper. She is smart and funny. I hope she encourages Emmett to attend more away matches. They are crazy about each other and seem perfectly matched. Best wishes to the happy couple. I understand it was a pajama wedding followed by the reception at IHOP. A trip to Home Depot to cap off the afternoon, followed by a movie. Very low key.

Oh she knows. I just can't get her to do anything in the interim.

Bad idea getting married on a match weekend. My anniversary is the same weekend as Iron Man most years. My wife decided to keep score so we can spend some quality time together on our anniversary! I'm guessing on our 25th anniversary I'm going to have to skip the match. Unless there is a flight I could catch AFTER the match to get us to Hawaii... I'll work on it.
I buy all my guns from t-rex. He's a small arms dealer.

Ken, I would check the potential wife's ancestry and make sure she is over 50 percent German or Austrian. That way they just naturally excel in the shooting sports. My wife recently researched her family tree in more detail and they came from a town close to Ulm.
