LAPUA Winnsboro Open - June 5-7, 2015
The Southern Nationals is now the LAPUA Winnsboro Open Regional Silhouette Championship and the first edition is going down on the first full weekend of June, 2015! If you were at the Southern Nationals last year or the year before, the format is substantially the same only there is no longer a "party" and a match, but just a great time all wrapped into one great weekend of shooting.
The air rifle match will be on Friday (lunch provided) as usual with the Coon-Ass Team Shoot on Friday evening. Two Standard smallbore matches on Saturday with a great lunch provided followed by fun matches that were a big hit last year: the Chicken Challenge and the Terrible Turkey Throwdown.
Sunday will be two smallbore Hunting Rifle matches to wrap up the tournament and I promise to get everyone on the road EARLY Sunday afternoon.
Thanks to the wonderful folks at LAPUA, specifically Adam Braverman, we will be giving away lots of LAPUA ammo and likely some extra prizes thrown in for good measure. LAPUA and SK ammo will be for sale at the match in case you needed an extra incentive to come have fun (The beer wagon is scheduled to be in attendance too).
Everyone is invited to come down to Louisiana to the best smallbore silhouette range in the world and help us kick off the next generation of championship matches at Winnsboro Gun Club. Programs and entry forms are attached.

Guess I'm gonna just have to skip the Iron Man some year to come down to your match. Sure you couldn't move it to the second weekend just for me? 
I buy all my guns from t-rex. He's a small arms dealer.

One day we are going to get this worked out because I REALLY want to go to the Iron Man. I'm hoping that match gets pushed back one weekend - I cant be in Montana the weekend before this match - too much to do. Unfortunately our range is pretty booked up every weekend with matches from other disciplines. We host 1000 yard, xtc, black powder long range, black powder silhouette, cowboy action shooting and Schuetzen rifles so there isn't much of a chance for us to move away from the first weekend of the month. Ever.
I buy all my guns from t-rex. He's a small arms dealer.

The range is a little soggy but otherwise all ready to go for a great regional weekend. These are the answers to a few questions I've been getting.
1. We still have room, the match is not full. Come shoot and have a good time!
2. You are welcome to register at the match if you haven't sent in an entry form. Please post here or shoot me a message with your classes if you plan to register at the match so I can put you in the scoring spreadsheet.
3. Lunch will be provided on Friday at the air rifle range and Saturday at the smallbore range. We will not have a lunch break on Sunday.
4. Registration for Friday's air rifle regional is walk-up registration, there is no pre-registration for that match.
5. You will not need a jacket or sweatshirt.
6. The smallbore range will be open all day Friday for practice.
7. The Coon-Ass Team Shoot starts at 6:00 pm on Friday.
8. The Saturday morning match will start between 9:00am and 10:00am.
9. The Sunday morning match will start at 9:00 sharp.
10.The goal is to be finished with EVERYTHING by 2:00 PM on Sunday (I think we can do it by 1:30).

Dustin, in hunter class, I was A and ended up 3rd in A and not 1st B after losing a shoot off to Joe Meyers. Good shooting Joe!
