2013 Southern Nationals - Save the Date

Everyone,

The 2013 Southern Nationals at Winnsboro Gun Club Will take place on the weekend of June 7-9, 2013. In addition to the match, David and Jerry will host a party complete with the beer truck, door prizes, food, and all the other nonsense you've come to expect from the Southern Nationals. The smallbore match will follow the same format as in years past with two 40-shot Standard Gun matches on Saturday and two 40-shot Hunter Gun matches on Sunday.

The smallbore match will be LIMITED TO THE FIRST 120 shooters! A registration form will be available soon.

Also, the Southern Nationals Air Rifle Silhouette regional will take place on Friday, June 7, 2013.

Does that mean that all three classes of air rifle will be shot on Friday?

That's the plan although Bill Motl would be the best person to answer that question since he is the air rifle match director.

Jerry and I are working on a great party for everyone and Dustin plans on having a great match as usual!

i have to add that we will have to have 50 entries for the party at $75/person before December 31, 2012 or we will NOT have the party and Dustin and his crew can have the shooting match. I understand that he will require every shooter to pay a party fee to enter. That way there will be no misunderstanding regarding the usual door prizes that we award. This includes ALL the prizes that we normally give in the match and the door prizes. ALL WILL BE GIVEN AWAY AS DOOR PRIZES AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER THE SHOOTING MATCH TO QUALIFY FOR THE DOOR PRIZES. i.e. NON-SHOOTING SPOUSES AND GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY A PARTY FEE TO QUALIFY FOR THE PRIZES. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO SHOOT BUT THIS WILL COVER THE COSTS OF THE FOOD AND OTHER INCIDENTAL COSTS RELATED TO THE PARTY.

I understand that Dustin, Jerry Tureau and Motl will keep the cost of the matches to a combined total of no more than $75 to be even less of a match fee than previous matches. We will have the full program out soon with entry forms before that on this forum as well as our www.winnsborogunclub.com and the other site that Dustin will post too as well as Facebook.

Jerry and I are looking forward to a great time in retirement!

Since they dont have to run the match, David and Jerry will be shooting this year. They will be shooting against each other for a side pot. They have agreed to each put up $10,000, winner take all. HOWEVER, if neither of them shoots a master score, they both lose their $10,000 and it goes into a prize pot for a $20,000 drawing at the end of the weekend.

Should be a pressure-packed match for those guys!!
