2010 20th Anniversary Southern Nationals update

Post by duckgumbo »

We have secured our funding from the Louisiana Tourism Department and the Franklin Parish Tourism Commission and have been hard at work planning the 20th Anniversary match. We have eleven pre-paid entries already and hope to fill up the match this year. We will stop taking entries after 240 competitors. The official program will be available for mailing and on-line posting March 1. We do have the entry forms on-line at www.winnsborogunclub.com.

We are giving away a scoped .22 LR rifle in each class (combined guns). The details will be posted as soon as we are sure of the manufacturer for the scopes and the rifles.

Jerry and I are planning some really special awards as well as many items for our Twentieth Anniversary match.

We want to thank everyone for the support that you give us each year so that we can continue to host this event and have fun doing it!

We look forward to a record setting year!

Is it too early to come down? I'm needing a little Winnsboro alternate reality / Smallbore Woodstock right about now.

BB...I did not get to sight in in CO yesterday due to equipment problems with the absolute pyraheliometer, so I'm going out htis morning and have to miss tomorrows match because it is the only day the specialist and I can get together on this blessed instrument. So get a flight and come to AZ next weekend.

Head cold meds are keeping me in from today's OFGC match so you're really killing me here Mary! Prettiest day we've had for a match and I'm stuck inside.

I think it's more like you don't want to get whooped on by Mini Kitty.... a cold never stops you from shooting

When Mini Kitty & Kolby are there the only real contest is for third! MK could well shoot a first leg in Master today, and once she has a rifle that fits she'll be a real thrill to watch. I''d love to out-shoot her, but definitely not this week! I'm more likely to doze off in the middle of the match...

BB...you let a cold stop you after T-bone-Hammy shot so well on cold meds?

259, come on man, I'm having to skip todays CO standard because of work, I'm going to AZ just to get out of the way because the really big dogs from JRC in Italy are coming in on Friday and three of us have been told we have to behave well for his bosses. Hmm, he is the biggest trouble maker of the group.

Mary, T-Bone and I have different approaches to cold medicine...

And this morning I'm trying to remember why I started taking that stuff in the first place. Yick.

That's right. Generally speaking, I starve a cold, feed a fever, and only use cold meds for shooting.

Clearly a man that can handle his medication.

Change your meds, I've seen you shoot.
