Hi Chuckd
i strongly recomend buris signature rings w/ the offset insert kit.
they are nice and tall and the inserts will fix any ram elevation issues with out stressing your scope tube.
i know you want to use the dovetail so get sone dovetail to weaver adapters, i dont know if buris makes signature rings for the dovetail directly but they may .

I have a mark xxii and mounted a leupold on it. I am using Talley high rings. They are for an anschutz but it's the same action/dovetail and all that stuff. I think I bought mine from midway. They advertised the same rings for the mark xxii but they are medium and wouldn't be tall enough for the leupold. The high rings fit perfectly, have enough height to clear, and they just look good.

They do indeed, as I've got some 11 mm Burris rings on my 1712. I wanted to get some of the same for my CZ 453, but I first tried the ones from the Anschutz on there, and it bumped the CZ overweight. So, I've got to find some aluminum rings for that one. Perhaps some B-Square interlock fixed rings. I've got B-Square interlock adjustable rings for it, but they move from shot to shot sometimes. Not enough to worry about if it were for hunting, but for competition it's enough to matter. It just barely makes weight with the adjustable ones, so the fixed ones should give it a bit more wiggle room since it doesn't have the steel parts inside for adjustments.
