MONTANA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SMALLBORE RIFLE SILHOUTTE SEPT 8 & 9, 2007 Type of Tournament: Two day NRA registered small bore rifle silhouette match. Standard rifle on Saturday and Hunting Rifle on Sunday. Host and Location: Logan Rifle Range, Logan Mt. Located off Interstate 90 between Three Forks and Manhattan. Take exit 283, turn North onto Buffalo Jump Road, left onto frontage, watch for bridge over river and turn right to cross It. The range is .5 miles on right hand side. Rules: Current NRA small bore rifle silhouette rules will apply. Rule #3.21 open Bolt indicator will be enforced. Eligibility: NRA membership is required of all competitors (join for $35.00 annually) Except for juniors who may be individual members of an NRA affiliated JR Club. Classifications: NRA silhouette classification system will be utilized in all matches. Anyone Without a current classification book will be required to purchase one from the Stat office for an NRA fee of $12.00 and will compete as a Master. Course of Fire: Course of fire will consist of ten shots at chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams for a Total of 40 shots at the prescribed distance fired in 5 shot strings with a limit Of 2 ½ minutes per string. Each competitor will score for the previous Competitor unless special squadding is arranged. Any competitor knocking Down ten straight animals will be allowed to continue firing at the conclusion Of the match for long run records. Special Squadding Requests: Requests for special squadding of competitors sharing equipment, Spotting, etc… Will be accommodated insofar as possible. Such Requests are on a first come first serve basis and need to be included With pre-registration. Tournament schedule: Friday Sept. 7th -- 5:00pm - Sunset = Practice Saturday Sept. 8th -- Standard Rifle 7:30am - 8:30am = Practice 9:00am - 1:00pm Match 1 1:00pm- 4:00pm Match 2 Both matches = 80 shot aggregate Standard Rifle. Awards and Dinner will follow the afternoon match. Sunday Sept. 9th -- Hunter Rifle 7:30am - 8:00am = Practice 8:00am - 12:00pm = Match1 12:00pm - 4:00pm = Match 2 Both matches = 80 shot aggregate Hunter Rifle. 4:30--- Awards Additional Information: The range will provide target setters during competition only. Target setters will be compensated by way of tips. (tip can provided) The range will provide some water (bottled water suggested) and restrooms. Limited camping is available. Call for info. Accommodations are available in Three Forks or Belgrade-- see the net. Lunches are available both Saturday and Sunday for a fee (around $8.00). (Lunch Wagon will also serve iced tea) Awards: Aggregate Standard awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd each class. Junior, Intermediate and Sub-Junior each class. Aggregate Hunter awards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd each class. Junior, Intermediate and Sub-Junior each class. State Standard champion. State Hunter champion. State Junior champion in each Standard and Hunter. 5 in a row and 10 in a row pins will be awarded. Master and AAA classes Are eligible for 10 in a row pins only. Entry Fees: First Gun: $40:00, second gun $25:00. Juniors:$20:00 each gun. NRA and range fees are included in registration.
