Picked up some Varget yesterday and was curious if folks would share some of their favorite loads for 107/108's and 139/142's for 260 Remington.

That is just a couple grains more than I stuff in my 6.5 x 47 for both loads. Where did you find some Varget?

Yup and that is one of the reasons if I was starting from scratch I would create a 6.5x47 rifles instead of 260. But for the amount of highpower we get here, it is not work the investment.

Jerry - I found it at a local sporting goods store in eastern Virginia.

36 grains for 2775 fps with the 107/108s.

The same load for 2650 fps with the 139 Scenar.

Those out of an 8-twist 26" barrel.

I hope you bought all they had in stock. 8 pounds doesn't last very long. Just ask goo roo, he goes thru gun powder like it is a box of wheeties.

Pete, I checked sportsamn WH in Missoula while I was there, nothing. I'll have to check a few places on the way to the nationals and WY state. I hope you sent a bunch of dogs to their maker.

The eagles and coyotes were "happy, happy, happy" with us.
I'll be in Casper and Douglas on 7/11, how much Varget do you want?

Where did you find varget in Missoula?

I couldn't find any in Misoula, Bozeman or billings.
