Has anyone used Berger Match Hybrid Target bullets, especially for the rams? Some of my long range shooting friends swear by them.

Be carefull of using 'paper shooting' bullets. They have been known to turn to powder when they hit steel. I have seen many rams rung in years past with the big 30 cal 'match' bullets.

Every bullet will explode...they all do when they hit steel. But do they push hard enough before they explode....all have lead cores and jacket thickness is the key. Consider that Berger advertises that the hunting bullet has a thinner jacket than the match bullets....!!!!!! berger says that in repeated firing through increasingly hot barrels the lead core softens and becomes very susceptible to blowing up...hence they made the jackets thicker on match bullets ;)
