Congratulations to Maranda Nelson for a new women's Hunter Rifle long run record on pigs. The old record was 39, Maranda now owns the record with 46 pigs in a row.
Dustin Flint set a new open Hunter Rifle record on the Turkeys with 36 in a row. The old record was 27 shot in 2004. WOW!! was that incredible shooting after shooting two forty shot matches. Dustin almost shot another 40 shot match on turkeys before he finally missed. That new record is going to hard to beat. Congratulations to you and your spotter Jerry Tureau on the new record.

Thank you very much, Dave! The long run was lots of fun as was hanging out with you guys and meeting new friends.
I still didn't shoot as well as you did... I'll have to see if I can do something about that next time ;)

Dustin, it was pretty cool watching you hit all those turkeys. You should be very proud of that! I think I'd be more proud hitting 36 turkeys than winning the whole match. That is a feat that is going to stay standing with your name on it for a long long time I think.

You all should have seen his reaction to ringing a SB Ram the weekend before at one of our local area matches.
Of course we C-Clamped it to the rail but it was hilarious

You had to be there. It was the #4 Ram and the impact made the #5 Ram fall so we were saying he must have cross fired!! We were all watching that Ram when he shot it and watched the hit appear just a bit right of dead center. Talk about hard not laughing our asses off until after he got back from going down range to see what happened. We watched him through the spotting scope as the look came over his face when he realized what was up
The setup was that he actually did ring one sometime back when a fellow shooter set the Rams on the front of the rail and his hit was just right to slide it back to the edge and leave it standing. As soon as he thought he rang another one he turned to the guy that set those rams up and asked if he set the Rams!
Oh and he also appeared to ring a HP Chicken in Arkansas last month with a damn near center punch hit. I was spotting for him and saw the hit and marked the scorecard. Then when I got back on the spotting scope I noticed it was still standing and turned 120 degrees facing the backside to us. I was shocked that it didn't blast it off the rail

Come to find out the target setters had it positioned in line with the cross rails that extended a good ways in front of and behind the rail. Amazingly it slid back straight and didn't fall! He ran down after to check it and took pics for his proof that is was hit. Must be those powder puff loads and light bullets he uses on chickens. I heard he is going with full boat 142 SMK Ram loads for his Chicken loads now
Congrats on the long run record my friend. Great shooting!!

I know that made the match worthwhile even if Cathy did spank you during the match

The C-Clamp is staying in my range box. Waiting to claim another victim! We setup Tureau later that day but he missed that damn Ram!
