I don't have a picture of the scoreboards, but I can confirm that the top 3 were Cathy, Laura and Mallory. As usual, they used their beauty and charm to distract us and then took advantage of us in our collective moment of weakness to win pretty much everything. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

Not sure if I am reading the scoreboard correctly, but if I am it looks like D. Boner is the highest score of the "male species." Congrats Dave!!

I'd like to give a public shout out and thanks, especially to Steve Wooster and Mary Watkins..... Early last winter, a young guy walked into our local range and said he'd like to try the shooting games. Within a few nights, we realized this kid could hit just about anything he aimed at, no matter what he was aiming! Rifle, pistol.....made no difference; he'd aim it...and hit what he was aiming at! By the end of the winter, he was our top shooter. I knew he would love silhouette, and started talking him that way, but because of weather and range closures, we weren't able to find him a match to get him a classification. Steve graciously let him sign up for the CB as an unclassified, and Mary Watkins graciously coached and spotted him through the whole match. He left the match a AAA in one gun, AA in the other, and even hit two chickens in the "Chicken Shooter's Match" that Mary convinced him to enter. She even gave him a dollar for the entry fee, since he was out of cash! No better ambassadors for the sport than Mary Watkins and Steve Wooster. Thanks to both of you, Eric "Newguy" left the match so excited he couldn't stop talking about rifle silhouette. Everybody there treated him well.... made him a silhouette shooter for life..... good on ya all......

First off, thanks Pat for bringing this up. There was definitely some fine shooting that went on last weekend in Pe Ell. Congrats to Cathy, Laura and Mallory for a job well done. Oh yea, congrats to you too Dave.
Second and lastly I would like to take this time to give credit where credit is due. I am referring to Cathy (winstead) Severin. I have known Cathy for about five years now and she is definitely a class act. She has always gone out of her way to help fellow shooters in anyway she can. She does this even when she's at a big match with a lot on the line. She doesn't pick and choose who she helps. She will help anybody at anytime.
What amazes me the most about her is the fact that after all these years of shooting, running a business, raising a 100 mph child and putting up with her honory husband, she is still able to go out and shoot like she does. Another quality i find in her is the fact that she's not cocky, conseded, arrogant or any of those other things that I find in some shooters. She stays away from all the drama and childish games that go on so frequently. She has character beyond the relm of most.
This past weekend Cathy shot spectacular as she has so many times in the past. This time was a little different. She managed to post (3)39's and a 38 for a total of 155 out of 160. That is spectacular shooting no matter how you slice it. There's not too many people out there that could post those scores even if they shot off a bench with a rest, myself included.
I'll some this all up by just saying way to go Cathy. You are a class act and I don't think we'll ever see another shooter that will accomplish what you have done over the years and are still accomplishing today. WAY TO GO GIRL.

Amen. A 155/160 is nothing short of mind-blowing.

Win52shooter said it all, congratulations to the girls that shot so well and Dave for getting at least one of our gender on the podium!!!
There's a bumper sticker out there I see occasionally that says "girls have more fun with a gun", love that.

A big thanks to Steve Wooster for putting on a great match. Congrats goes to Robert Hershey for winning the rifle! PeEll is a class act of a match, and Dustin and Cathy did great jobs on their long runs. Mallory shot well with her new set up and kept those boys in their places! Laura had her hands full with both little guys there, stopping in to keep reminding her that she is a mother first!
Thanks to Gary for calling the match despite needing shoulder and knee work. Keith and all the others that helped out and of course to the great chefs for Saturday night dinner, and target setters!

Don't forget the two new long run records set there too.
A young man from LA (D Flint) kicked the hell out of turkeys (38 I think) and a young lady from MT set a new record for pigs (woman's record)
